MuleForge Overview
What is MuleForge?
MuleForge is the developer centre for hosting extensions to Mule, the leading open source ESB and integration platform. MuleForge provides a place for the Mule community to develop and share reusable Mule extensions such as transports, modules, tools and examples.
Why host your project in MuleForge?
There is little value in organizations writing generic components, transformers and transports for Mule keeping that code private. Open Sourcing non-business sensitive Mule extensions on MuleForge has a number of benefits:
- Reliable and backed-up hosting environment providing source code control through Subversion, continuous builds through Bamboo, issue tracking through JIRA, documentation wiki through Confluence, project statistics, mailing lists, and much more.
- Access to hundreds of developers and thousands of users to help further develop and test your code.
- Continuous build system ensures that projects are healthy and work with current Mule versions.
- Community coverage for your project and company.
Who should use MuleForge?
- Mule users looking for resources, extensions and examples on how to use Mule.
- Companies and developers who develop custom extensions to Mule that would be useful for others.
- Software vendors who have a product that works with Mule can host example applications here that demonstrate the integration.
