MuleForge Project Maturity Level

One of the fields found when filling in the form for contributing a new project is the Project Maturity Level field.

The Project Maturity level indicates the progress of a project.

This may be entered when filling in the form for contributing a new project. Thereafter, it may be changed by the project despot, by editing the issue related to the project from the MuleForge Project Catalogue (MFPC). This is accessed from 'Project Properties' link within the left navigation bar, under the 'Administration' heading, within the project's homepage.

Below is a definition of each project maturity level:

• 0 - Proposal: This is a suggested project. Nothing has been done beyond project creation by the MuleForge team.

• 1 - Planning: The project is in its analysis/design stage.

• 2 - Pre-Alpha: The project has some functionality, not necessarily complete.

• 3 - Alpha: Project is actively being tested.

• 4 - Beta: The very first version of the project is released.

• 5 - Production: This indicates the release of a stable version of the project.

Despots (project leads) are advised to make a release for their project if it is in the beta or production level. Read the Despot's Guide for instructions on how to make a release.
